New Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Do Duc Duy was born on May 20, 5, hometown of Thuy Van commune, Thai Thuy district, Thai Binh province. He has a Master's degree in Construction; Advanced political theory. Mr. Do Duc Duy is a member of the 13th Party Central Committee; Member of the 15th National Assembly.

Mr. Do Duc Duy spent more than 6 years teaching at Hanoi University of Architecture (February 2 - March 1996) before moving to work at the Ministry of Construction. He has held the following positions: Deputy Director of the Department of Personnel Organization; Chief of Office of the Ministry of Construction; Deputy Minister of Construction. Since February 2, he has been Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Yen Bai province. By September 9, Mr. Do Duc Duy held the position of Secretary of the Yen Bai Provincial Party Committee.
