Six women-led agricultural enterprises in the Mekong Delta (ĐBSCL) have been awarded grants of up to AUD 60,000 (approximately 1 billion VND) per project through the Deltaccelerate Program.

Deltaccelerate, funded by the Australian Government, is a business acceleration program tailored for women-led agricultural businesses focusing on climate change adaptation. It provides training and customized support for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the Mekong Delta, equipping them with sustainable business practices and enhancing their resilience to climate change.

The selected enterprises include Mekong Coconut Oil Production Co., Ltd. (Cocovie), specializing in high-quality cosmetics and food products from Ben Tre coconut oil; Cocovie helps preserve older coconut trees (over 10 years), which sequester 75 tons of carbon per hectare annually; Cau Ke Wax Coconut Processing Co., Ltd. (VICOSAP), based in Tra Vinh, this company produces confectionery, baking ingredients, and beverages from wax coconuts—a salt-tolerant variety cultivated by the Khmer community that thrives under climate change conditions; Palmania JSC, producing organic health products from sugar palm trees, grown sustainably by the Khmer community in An Giang province; Veritas Viet Nam/AirXCarbon JSC, converting biological materials, such as coconut fiber from the Mekong Delta, into carbon-neutral consumer products; Dam Doi Ba Khia Cooperative, Producing sustainable seafood products, including fermented crab (ba khia) and locally harvested shrimp, in Ca Mau province; ECOKA JSC, crafting artisanal products from climate-resilient materials like water hyacinth and sedge grass in Hau Giang province, distributing them globally via e-commerce platforms.

The funding will support these enterprises in scaling up commercial promotion, marketing, brand development, product innovation, and other training activities. Deltaccelerate is contributing AUD 250,000 (4 billion VND), with an additional AUD 320,000 (5 billion VND) matching funds from the enterprises to amplify the program’s impact.

Deltaccelerate is part of the Australian Government's Business Partnerships Platform (BPP), which Palladium implemented. Managed by New Energy Nexus, the program aims to foster innovative solutions for climate change adaptation and sustainable development in the Mekong Delta.
