On the afternoon of February 19, the Consulate General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, in collaboration with the People’s Committee of Thu Duc City and the Dutch Business Association in Viet Nam , inaugurated the 'Frames of Climate Change' exhibition at Saigon Riverside Park.
This visual storytelling exhibition showcases powerful works by photographers from Viet Nam, Laos, Cambodia, and Thailand. It is the result of a photography project guided by NOOR (Netherlands), with support from the Kingdom of the Netherlands and the Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF). The exhibition is open to the public from February 19 to March 12 at Saigon Riverside Park.
The artworks convey a striking message: Climate change is no longer a distant threat - it is here, at our doorstep. The shifting ecosystem, the migration and extinction of species, and the irreversible disruption to the chain of life highlight the urgent need for action.

The exhibition aims to raise public awareness about the immense challenges and consequences of climate change. It calls on individuals to recognize the unprecedented severity of the crisis and unite in taking meaningful action to protect our planet.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Daniel Stork, Consul General of the Netherlands in Ho Chi Minh City, emphasized the shared vulnerability of Viet Nam and the Netherlands to climate change. He highlighted the partnership between Thu Duc City and Rotterdam in addressing climate challenges. “These are not just striking images — they are sobering reflections of climate reality. It is crucial to organize events like this to foster community awareness, especially among the younger generation. I am heartened to see so many young people here today”, he said.
