INTRACO/SIPCO, a Vietnamese company, has secured approval for the international transfer of over 90 million carbon credits by 2030 through its investment projects in Laos and Cambodia. Of these, more than 4.5 million carbon credits have already been authorized for issuance. These credits are issued after 2021, with official approval for international transfer from the host countries, and comply with Article 6 of the Paris Agreement. The technology used in these projects is accepted by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), though forestation projects and renewable energy projects over 15 MW are excluded.

In addition to its investments in Laos and Cambodia, SIPCO is also involved in carbon projects in Vietnam and the Philippines. Notably, the carbon credits obtained by INTRACO through these projects are classified as high-quality credits and have garnered significant interest from the aviation industry. As a result, more than 100 airlines have begun negotiations with INTRACO to purchase these carbon credits.

On the international market, carbon credits that meet the CORSIA (Carbon Offsetting and Reduction Scheme for International Aviation) standards are traded at prices ranging from $20 to $40 per credit, depending on the delivery date and payment conditions. With an ample supply of carbon credits that meet CORSIA requirements, INTRACO has become one of the largest global suppliers of carbon credits to the aviation industry, attracting interest from numerous companies in this sector.

Since 2022, INTRACO has been investing in projects to improve public health in Cambodia and Laos by providing free energy-efficient stoves and water filtration devices through its subsidiary SIPCO, with a total investment of $60 million. These projects aim to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and improve community health by supplying sustainable living support equipment and generating carbon credits for international transfer under Article 6 of the Paris Agreement.

The project plans to distribute 600,000 energy-efficient stoves and 600,000 water filtration devices in Cambodia, as well as 420,000 stoves and 400,000 water filters in Laos, with completion set for 2026. The project's first phase, in cooperation with the Cambodia Women for Peace and Development Association, was completed in December 2024 with impressive results, distributing 470,000 energy-efficient stoves and 250,000 water filters to residents for free.

INTRACO has officially launched phase 2 of the project, continuing the distribution of energy-efficient stoves and water filters in Cambodia, with the cooperation of reputable local partners such as the Women for Peace and Development Association, the Red Cross, and the Ministry of Environment of Cambodia.
