The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MONRE) has recently issued the Regulations and Criteria for the ASEAN Viet Nam Eco-School Award 2024.

This initiative is part of the project "Connecting ASEAN Eco-Schools of Viet Nam to Expand the Eco-School System Nationwide in Line with ASEAN Criteria." The award aims to honor and reward educational institutions and schools with outstanding achievements in environmental education and promoting environmental protection, as well as providing solutions to expand and replicate eco-school models throughout Vietnam.

The participants for this award include primary, secondary, and high schools nationwide (excluding schools previously honored as ASEAN Eco-Schools).

The award structure and prize distribution are categorized by school level (primary, secondary, and high school) with one first prize worth VND 50,000,000, three-second prizes worth VND 30,000,000 each, six third prizes worth VND 20,000,000 each, and ten consolation prizes worth VND 5,000,000 each. Moreover, the organizers will recommend that winning primary and secondary schools participate in the ASEAN Eco-School Award Ceremony at the upcoming ASEAN Senior Officials on Environment Meetings, per the ASEAN Secretariat's regulations.

Submission deadline: Until the end of November 10, 2024 (based on the postal mark for mail submissions) or confirmed through www.Ecoschool.vn for electronic submissions.
